Data entered into one system can be shared with other  OpenReach systems in the System group.

Exchanging

OpenReach is designed as a data-sharing platform. The initial goal was to improve the flow of data among different agencies that utilize the same information. However, each agency does not necessarily use the same version of OpenReach. Because the data contained in each system is relevant to users of other systems, CoVal has developed a process to exchange this information among them.

While each instance of OpenReach is considered an independent system, information is exchanged among them based on desired organizational settings. For this reason, the OpenReach system contains an array of data encompassing multiple states. The web server exports Exchanger information while the Monitor is responsible for bringing it into the system. This ensures that every instance of OpenReach within a system group is in sync with its partnered systems.
