Planned events: manage incidents before they occur.
Construction on major roadways is often planned far in advance of the actual start
date and can require many construction events to be created over extended periods
of time. However, it can be difficult to create these events as they happen. For
this reason, OpenReach has powerful automation tools that steamline this process.
The OpenReach Monitor is capable of storing plans for construction in order to spawn
the events automatically when the construction begins and close events when it ends.
Exchange Events Between Partners
Events from other OpenReach systems can also be automatically imported into your
system via the exchanging process. The Exchanger makes sure that events entered in
separate deployments are brought into the system and is completely configurable to
the user’s needs.
Import from External Systems
Events from external systems can also be automatically imported to the system using
the OpenReach Obtainer. The Obtainer is capable of parsing data stored in external
systems (such as ConnDOT’s data feed) to create events useable within the system.
Export to External Systems
OpenReach is flexible with the transmission of information to external systems as
well. Utilizing the OpenReach bridge, CoVal provides API tools for 3rd party interfaces.
IT Automation
OpenReach provides for the automation of commonly performed IT functions including
the purging of outdated system events. All incidents are historical archived as well,
providing a rich history of the system. Weekly database backups are also performed
to ensure all of the information in the system is protected.
